Summer Youth Employment
CFL coordinates summer jobs for youth ages 14-24 through New York City’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). We partner with 100 public and private worksites to offer youth jobs throughout Brooklyn.

SYEP helps teens and young adults explore career options through summer jobs at local hospitals, businesses, day care and senior centers, NYC Parks and Recreation sites and summer camps. Youth also participate in workshops on job readiness, career exploration and financial literacy.
Youth can apply for SYEP online or at our Sunset Park High School program site. Applications are available in January and February, and participants are selected by lottery for the program in May and June.
